We encourage clients to adopt these proactive measures to ensure account security:

  1. Clear Ad Account Balances: Reset balances on ad accounts that won’t be used in the near future.

  2. Review Access Permissions: Regularly audit the BM for inactive or risky personal accounts and remove access for former employees.

  3. Avoid Suspicious Links: Refrain from clicking unknown links, including those received via email or iMessage.

  4. Clean Purchased Accounts: Remove old records and limit authorizations to only active accounts. Unused accounts should be removed from the BM.

  5. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Ensure all personal accounts in the BM have 2FA enabled for enhanced security.

  6. Monitor Campaigns and Spending: Regularly review active campaigns, spending, and creatives to confirm all activities align with expectations.

  7. Audit Pixel Lists: Periodically inspect pixel lists for unfamiliar entries. Fraudsters may disguise new ads with similar names or modify existing campaigns.
